Biography

James Williams died on 1 Mar 1948 at the Indian Hospital in Tacoma, Washington. The death certificate states that he was born on 1 Mar 1866 on Lummi Island, Washington, the son of Alfred Williams, born in England, and Sarah, born on the Lummi Reservation in Washington. The certificate identifies him as "Lummi Indian". He was married to Mary Ann. His usual place of residence was Dabob, Washington and he was a labourer.[1]
