Nashville, Tennessee: Tennessee State Library and Archives. Tennessee State Library and Archives; Nashville, Tennessee; Tennessee Death Records, 1908-1958; Roll Number: 4. This is the Certificate of Death, #9071, of "W C Williams," who died "April 7, 1932," in Williamson County, Tennessee: wife, "Mrs Clara Yeargin Williams." Father, "Wm Carroll Williams." Mother, "Rachel Sloan." Informant, "Mrs. W C Williams."
↑Death: Yeargin Family Bible. Comment: The death certificate notes the day of death as the 7th. The death certificate was wrong on the age. It said 83 years and 4 months. It should have been 83 years and 7 months which agrees with the Yeargin Family Bible record. Neither was the death certificate certified by a doctor. As Cause of Death, it says, "Suddenly" and "No Doctor." There is no doctor's signature. The informant was Mrs. WC Williams, his wife. The tombstone, obituary, Bible record, and SAR application all say he died on the 8th. I would normally side against the tombstone record as I have seen many errors; however, given that the death certificate was not certified by a doctor, I'll side with the family on this one.
