In the 1841 England Census Joseph Williams 30 born abt 1811 not in the county, carpenter, was head of his household in Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, England. Other Household Members all but one not born in the county, were Hannah Williams 35, Elizabeth Williams 8, George Williams 5, and James Williams 3 born Staffordshire. Also Mary Ann Myatt 15 servant. [1]
In the 1851 England Census Joseph Williams 44 born abt 1807 in Egremont, Cumberland, England, builder employing 5 men, was head of his household in Clarendon st, Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, England. Other Household Members were his wife Hannah Williams 46 Workington, Cumberland, and their sons George Williams 14 Liverpool, Lancaster, and James Williams 12 Belston, Staffordshire, both scholars. Also their nephew James Cunrsthy [Henworthy??] 19 Egremont, Cumberland carpenter apprentice, and niece Elizabeth Frear 17 Egremont, Cumberland. [2]
