1952: Tweeling, Orange Free State, South Africa [2]
1988: 37 Piet Retief Street, Tweeling, Orange Free State, South Africa [1]
Note: The residence at 37 Piet Retief Street in Tweeling held special significance within Louisa's family. It originally belonged to her grandmother, Anna Sophia (Lubbe) Willemse. [4][5] Following Anna Sophia's passing in 1972, Louisa became the heir to this cherished family property. In 1978, after the loss of her husband, Barend Beukes, Louisa made the decision to return to her ancestral home in Tweeling. Tragically, Louisa also passed away in 1988, leaving the house to her daughter, Petronella (Beukes) Beukes[1]. However, it remains unclear when Petronella eventually sold the house.
According to Louisa's, daughter Elbie Heymans, Louisa had lots of cats and that is where the nickname of Ouma Katte come from as most of her grandchildren started to call her by that name. [8]
