World War I Veteran Dies in Hospital Here
Dewey Wiley, aged 58, of 4008 Cessna drive, a fry cook and waiter, died early Sunday morning in Veteran's hospital after a short illness.
He was born July 14, 1898, in Polk county, Missouri, and came to Wichita more than 30 years ago. Mr. Wiley was a veteran of World war I.
Survivors include his wife, Viola; three sons, William, at home; Corp. Dewey D. Wiley, with the U. S. air force, England, and Pvt. Gary Wiley, Ft. Benning, Ga.; two daughters, Mrs. Ellen Nelson and Mrs. Darene Hicks, both at home, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be announced by Byrd-Snodgrass mortuary.

WILEY -- Dewey, age 53, of 4008 Cessna Drive, died in a local hospital Sunday morning. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 p. m. from the Byrd-Snodgrass fumeral home. Rev. W. E. McCoy of the Calvary Methodist church will officiate. Interment in Wichita Park cemetery. Memorial by Byrd-Snodgrass.
