FOUND!!! Thank you all for your help. I have found both of my dads Birth families and he has 5 siblings, although only 2 welcomed my dad with Open arms. . I am just glad I found them before my dad passed away on -2-22-2020.
I am doing this Dna thing for my Dad. All my life I have known that not only was my dad Adopted, so was my Mom and her twin sister. My mom and her sister found their birth mothers family and found out they have a sister. I would like my dad to know the feeling of finding a birth family member. I have spent the better part of the last 15 plus years trying to find my dads Birth family, but it's difficult with no names.. For his 70th birthday this year he was given a 23andme DNA test. We got the results back in April and there are over 1200 cousins, but One first cousin, but she too was adopted and doesn't know her birth family. I don't know the first thing about reading and understanding Dna results etc. I have posted my dads raw DNA on FTDNA, Gedmatch, MyHeritage. If I could add his raw DNA to Ancestry I would, but I can't and he doesn't have the xtra money to do an Ancestry DNA test. I am determined to find someone in his birth family so he knows the feeling my mom felt when she found her birth mothers family.
my father was born in Santa Cruz California and was adopted at birth. He was born on February 19,1947 at 8:08 am at the old Dominican hospital.
he was told that his birth mother was 19 years old { born 1928} was 5ft 6in from San Francisco Ca. She had long dark hair and Blue eyes. and had a Brother who worked at a claims department at a Steamship Company. her parents got divorced when she was 3 months old. her mother remarried in 1939. her step father worked for a car company for 25 years. he also worked as a starter at a ferry building. FOUND!!!
His Birth father was Tall, blonde hair Merchant Marine from Texas, spent 20 years in the service and could have been somewhere close to his 40's or older when my dad was born..If all my information is right, then his birth father had to have been in San Francisco Ca in May 1946.
Then my dad, Thomas Monroe Metcalf was adopted by Al and Betty Metcalf.. They lived on Water Street in Santa Cruz and also lived on118 STANFORD AVE IN SANTA CRUZ CA. he was told that his birth mother would drive by their house and watch my dad from a distance.
Birth mother was French and Irish Birth father was of Irish descent

By adding your branches to our shared tree, there may be an opportunity for someone to find you, AND adding your branches and working to source and confirm that information will get you closer to the end of your search.
