Notes from Emigration event: From the passenger record from the Ellis Island site, August Wiese emigrated from Topolinken, Germany, at the age of 45, and traveled on the ship named, Dresden. The ship departed from Bremen, Germany and arrived at Ellis Island on April 25, 1893.

August and Otellie ( or Ottilie) Wiese left for America with four children from Brenem, Germany, and arrived at the Port of Baltimore on April 25, 1893, on the S.S. Dresden. Their place of residence in Germany was listed as Topolinken. On the 1900 U.S. Federal census they were in Hall County, Nebraska (Center Township).
