Biography

Joseph graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at Westpoint, July 1, 1844. He served in the war with Mexico; breveted 2d Lieutenant of the 2d Dragoons; was breveted 1st Lieutenant for gallantry at Buena Vista, February 23, 1847; captain 1st Lagoons, Oct 22, 1854.[1]
