My Calderwood connection is by marriage Calderwood-523 m. my The family story about my great-great grandfather goes like this: " He was cook in 3 master that sailed out of Rockland, that was lost on Nantasket shoals, his body being the only one that came ashore (name tattooed on arm) and buried." I have not been able to find a burial location or a death certificate. I have searched through lost ship records and have not found a ship from Rockland Maine that was lost between 1905 and 1917. His second wife was Mary Calderwood https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/173244949/mary-l-black I've been looking through the Courier Gazette (on line) but it is very slow - took most of my day to go through a portion of 1908 I'm surprised that there is no other connection at this time as my mom's family were all from Hancock County, many of them were fishermen or seafarers. All the best, Darryl
