Biography

Martha Whitford was born in 1755 in West Greenwich, Kent, Rhode Island, daughter of Thomas Whitford and Alice (Matteson) Whitford.

Martha married Asahel Sweet on 26 Mar 1780 in East Greenwich, Kent.[1] Their children were:

  1. Patience Sweet
  2. Jessie Sweet
  3. Asa Sweet
  4. Amy Sweet
  5. Irany Sweet
  6. Martha (Sweet) Holmes.

Martha died in New York, United States.

Martha was buried in Cherry Creek Central Cemetery, Cherry Creek, Chautauqua County, New York, United States.[2]

Martha was mentioned in her father's will which was proved on 1 June 1818.[3]
