Biography

Harriet A. Whitcomb was born at Enosburg, Vermont on April 24, 1832, daughter of ?Ashael Whitcomb and Electa Carpenter. [1]

She married Jacob Chapin Andrus [1] in Vermont on December 5, 1850. [2] Her husband was born on June 19, 1821, son of Benjamin Andrus and Emily Chapin. [3]

Jacob Chapin Andrus died on September 1, 1891 at Pawlett. [3][4]

After her husband's death, Harriet married second, Albert Wells on August 30, 1897 at Pawlett [5] He may be the Albert Wells that had married her sister Aurilla Whitcomb.

Harriet died on April 23, 1907. [3] [6] She is buried with Jacob Andrus and her children in Mettawee Valley Cemetery at Pawlett. [7]
