The biography for Robert Whitaker is empty. What can you add?I come from a short lived family of the Whitaker surname, which in our case is also descended from the Whitaker's of Haverhill, mass.i am Robert t Whitaker,I was born in nov.25,1957.i just passed my 64th birthday, and I the longest lived Whitaker in my line for several generations back--bad genetics.my brother Joseph moss Whitaker,Jr lived 1953-2003,he was 49.our father Joseph moss Whitaker,Sr lived 1922-1963,40 years old.my other brother Thomas f is living at age 62.my grandfather was Joseph Krupp Whitaker,he lived 1885-1939,54 years.he had two brothers--charles w Whitaker 1887-1888 and Jessop helpings Whitaker 1889-1954,64 years.my father had a brother Robert t Whitaker 1929-1985,55 years.the father of Joseph k Whitaker, who was my gr.1,was Samuel c Whitaker,he lived 1857-1917,60 years.his father was my gr.2,was Frederick w Whitaker 1819-1858,38 years old.his father,my gr.3 was Joseph Whitaker 1790-1838,age48,drowned at sea serving in the navy.his father,my gr.4 was David Whitaker,esq.1753-1826,age 72,7 generations before myself for a long lived Whitaker male.now, someone has collaborated with me on the Whitaker family, and now there is a block on my great grands, etc further back.i cannot put this info into my tree as it should be,so I am putting this here.it is my only line that goes this back with no information gaps. It is fun to look at and someone did a lot of research, but it is useless to me,just has too many problems for my taste to accept it all as credible.1/4/2022. I've been trying to reach you about the McMurray profiles. I'd like to correct some things such as Mcmurray-994's surname which should be McMurray. Also there's at least one individual who has passed away.
I hope all is well. You can reply here or use my email which is the same as the last time you used it.
Thanks, Betsy
Sorry about the delay in replying, I've had a virus. My connection to Hilda Lund is through her husband, we have common Rosevear ancestors from Luxulyan, Cornwall.

William Henry Hall was added by Gedcom for someone else. I added some sources & removed myself as a profile manager.
There were a lot of Whittakers in the Bradford, Yorkshire area. There were no doubt John Whittakers and James Whittakers. However, without reliable evidence linking any particular Whittaker to Abraham of Haverhill, none of them can be identified as Abraham's father. Until someone finds and produces that evidence, we have a dead end/brick wall.

Just to clarify, I can only send you print outs of the WikiTree pages. I cannot print and mail every record that I cited. I cited 17 records for Matilda Emily Black, 12 records for George H Dockstader, and 7 records for Emma Eunice Parker. It occurred to me that if you can see your own WikiTree profile page, then you must be able to look at other profile pages too. From each profile page, of course, you can then click on the hyperlink to the record.
Can you please check out these profiles on WikiTree? Matilda Irwin King: King-36719 Matilda Emily King: King-46486 George Hyrum Dockstader: Dockstader-278 Emma Eunice Parker (George's second wife): Parker-45868 Children of Matilda Emily and Emma--all linked from their parents' profile pages
If I'm wrong and you can't look at these profile pages, then let me know.
Thanks, Betsy
"Our" Matilda: King-36719 Matilda Emily King: King-46486 George Hyrum Dockstader: Dockstader-278 Emma Eunice Parker (George's second wife): Parker-45868 Children of Matilda Emily and Emma--all linked from their parents' profile pages
Please have a look and I hope you agree. The records are compelling.
I'm in touch with Marilyn Spearin and she shared your mailing address with me. If you'd like me to mail you copies of all the profiles with the research I did, I'm happy to do so.
This weekend is Connect-a-Thon and I'm connecting away with the Twisted Thistles team.
Hope you've been well!
Betsy
Thanks for the comment on my page about the Card family! You are correct, I am the 4th great-granddaughter of Levi Card and Eleanor Mabee. Levi was a twin to his brother Woodbury. Levi and Eleanor's daughter, Mercy Abigail Card, married my 3rd great grandfather, James Phillips. They stayed in Ontario throughout their lives, and some of their 7 children moved to the United States. Their oldest son, my 2nd great grandfather, was Levi Phillips named for Levi Card most likely. Thanks again for reaching out.
Thank you for the message on my page about the Hellings family. My grandmother was Iona M. Hellings. Her father, John C. Hellings, was born in Philadelphia in 1844. The family moved west and settled in Oakdale, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania.

My parents are Jack L. Paxton and Dolly Dodds. Her parents were Nelson David Tweed Dodds and Iona M. Hellings. Iona was the daughter of John C. Hellings and Mary Pauline Mooney. John was the son of John Krewson Hellings and Mary Crawford. John was the son of Thomas Hellings and Lucretia Krewson. Thomas was the son of Jonathan Hellings and Martha Purdy. Jonathan was the son of John Hellings and Elizabeth Dungan. On Wikitree I also see that we are also distant cousins through our descent from the Mabee family of New York.
You can easily see the Mabee connection on Wikitree. Just go to my page and put your cursor over the Paxton-178 line (the upper right of the page) and it will show the drop-down menu. Just select "relationship to me" and it will show our Mabee connection. James
p.s.: you can do this on any profile page you are on to see your connection, if any, to that person.
I'm new to WikiTree and slowly starting to add information. I saw that you had already created a profile for my great-grandfather, William John McMurray. I somehow missed your profile for my great-grandmother, Grace Greenwood Menzie and we've ended up with two. Mine is Menzie-113. I'm going to move forward with merging these.
I'd really love to connect, share information, and find out how our research interests intersect..
Happy New Year!

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!
Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.
