I want to give you the missing information on James George Bristow. Born 1696- died 1783. Son of John and Michal Nichols Bristow. He first married Anne Jones November 1717 who died within a year, then married Mary Twyman. They had 8 children. Mary 27 Aug 1718, Catherine 12 Dec 1721, George B. 8 Apr 1723, Anna 28 Oct 1726, Jane 22 July 1736, Robert 16 Feb 1759. This is an error because Mary passed away in 1744. Two other children, Averilla and Elizabeth have no birthdates. I would only believe the first 5 birthdates unless more research finds the answer. James had 10 siblings with John and Michal, and three with John and Mary Goodloe Carter, his second wife. Look on Ancestry for John Bristow, 1649-1716 and get their names.

I was bitten by the genealogy bug in 1980 and have not yet recovered. I was quite pleased to read the Mission Statement, as there are so many sites out there that allow anyone to post anything, factual or not, and it gets copied over and over as fact. Having researched my own tree for so many years, I started assisting friends and then found connections between their trees and mine. Makes the thought of one worldwide family tree very plausible and very exciting. I am looking forward to continuing this "cause"
