Biography
Margaret Ophelia Welch was born on 13 April 1867 in Highland Township, Grundy, Illinois, United States. She was the daughter of William Henry Welch (1818–1882) and Mary Ann Staley (1830–1908).
The family was living in Highland Township, Grundy, Illinois.[1][2]
Ophelia Welch (22) married David Lincoln Ambler (21) on 14 July 1889 in Lebanon, Linn, Oregon Territory.[3] They were the parents of:
- David Bruce Ambler (1891–1967).
In 1900, the family was living in Portland City Election Precinct 40, Multnomah, Oregon.[4][5][6][7]
Her husband David Lincoln Ambler died on 23 January 1946 in Portland, Multnomah, aged 78.[8]
Margaret Ophelia Welch Ambler died on December 12 1952 in Portland, Multnomah, Oregon, aged 85.[9] She was buried in Riverview Abbey Mausoleum and Crematory, Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon.[10]
