Heinrich Wegener died on 23 February 1918 in McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois and was buried at Saint Peter Catholic Cemetery, in Volo, Lake County, Illinois. His memorial has a photo of his headstone shared with Elisabeth and links to those of family members.
