He was the husband of 1. Elisabeth Viehoff aka Uphoff (Note: Nijnatten, was the surname of her mother's 2nd marriage) and 2. Susanna Krebsbach 1859-1936 (m. 1907)
Heinrich Wegener died on 23 February 1918 in McHenry, McHenry County, Illinois and was buried at Saint Peter Catholic Cemetery, in Volo, Lake County, Illinois. His memorial has a photo of his headstone shared with Elisabeth and links to those of family members.
