Charlotte (Weed) Robb was born in New York.

Birth and Parents

Charlotte, the daughter of John Weed (1788-1850) and Phebe Ashley (1792-1860) was born on 2 October 1834 at New York.

Marriages and Children

Charlotte was married twice. She married 1) John Hector Ashley (1824-1853) on 22 November 1852 at Will Township, Will, Illinois.^[1]There were no children from this union. John Ashley died in 1853 at Illinois.

Charlotte (Weed) Ashley married as his first wife 2) George Alfred Robb (1830-1909), occupation Farmer, the son of Alfred and Maria (Griswold) Robb on 13 March 1855 at Kankakee, Illinois.^[2][3]They had seven children born at Illinois:

2. Anna Robb (b. 1856; d. )
3. Walter Robb (b. 1863; d. )
4. Frederick Newton Robb (b. 1864; d. 1929) m. 2 Nov 1892 at North Bend, NE, Harriet Reliance Morse (1873-1951)^[4]
5. Herbert Robb (b. 1867; d. )
6. William Robb (b. 1875; d. )
7. Winfield W. S. Robb (b. 1876; d. 1956) m. 31 Dec 1908 at Los Angeles, CA, Sara Elizabeth (Scott) Stevenson (1870-1928)^[5]

In 1870, Charlotte (36 years, b. NY, occupation Housekeeping) and husband George (38 years, b. NH, occupation Farmer) were living at Marengo, McHenry Illinois. Residing with them were children John (16 years, b. IL), Anna (14 years, b. IL), Walter (7 years, b. IL), Fred (5 years, b. IL) and Herbert (3 years, b. IL).^[6]

Death and Burial

Charlotte Rose (Weed) Ashley-Robb died on 18 November 1878 in her 44th year at Marengo, Illinois, and is buried in Riley Cemetery at Riley Township, McHenry, Illinois.^[7]
