Hi,

It’s Germany Project check-in time again! Please respond within the next 2 weeks and let me know if you’re still interested in participating with the Project. Remember, the only requirements for membership in the Germany Project are (1) that you work on at least one German profile every 6 months and (2) that you respond to this check-in.

Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. In your response, we welcome any feedback you may want to give on the project (what you like about it, what you’d like to see us do, what we could change, etc.)

If you ever have any questions, please ask. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Hi Kathy, Please add the G2G tag GERMANY to your list of followed tags. You can add new tags by going to https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Following and scrolling down to "Add new Tags". Add Germany in the tag name box, add a couple spaces in the comments box, then hit "Enter New Tag" and you'll be set. Thanks, Traci

Thanks for responding, Kathy. We're glad you're staying with us!

I encourage you to join our Google Group - you can send a join request here: https://groups.google.com/g/wikitreegermanroots. The Google Group is where our project communicates and you can ask questions about German genealogy there (please make sure to add your name or WikiTree ID to the join request). It's a really helpful group. :-)

Best regards, Traci

Hello again! I posted a comment two weeks ago and have not yet heard back from you. I hope you are well! Do you want to remain in the Germany Project? If I don’t hear back from you by the end of November, I’ll go ahead and remove you from our member roster. You are, of course, always welcome to rejoin at any time via our G2G sign-up post.

Best wishes, Traci ~ Germany Project co-leader

Hi,

The Germany Project Leaders are doing their semi-annual check-in with all project members and we want to verify that you’re still interested in being a member of the Project. Please respond by private message and let me know.

Are you currently working with one of our Sub-projects or Teams? If not, take a look at our main Project page for a full list.

We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.

I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Hi,

The Germany Project leadership is doing semi-annual check-ins with all project members and we want to verify that you’re interested in being a member of the Project. As a newer member, you would normally be exempt from this check-in; however, I noticed that you have not yet joined our Google Group, where the project communicates. Please submit a join request here.

Also, please add GERMANY to your list of G2G tags so you don't miss any discussions in G2G (see: Help:Tags#How_to_follow_tags Help:Tags).

I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Thanks,

Traci ~ Germany Project co-leader

Hi Kathy,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus. Review the project pages for special guidelines and to learn how to collaborate with the project members.

Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage or edit. (See:https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Pre-1700_Profiles#Cite_reliable_sources).

Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus. Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

Hello Kathy!

You've been a member for a few weeks so I thought I would check in to see how it's going. Have the How-Tos been helpful or left you with questions? Most of us have questions after all that information!

I want to help! Click my name, send me a private message or ask in the comment section of my page. Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

Cindy ~ WikiTree Messenger

PS To find reliable sources for your profiles, go to the Family Tree & Tools tab; select Genealogy Research and scroll down near the bottom of that list and select Research with RootsSearch. There are over 20 websites to access from there.

Thank you for volunteering. You are now a full member of WikiTree.

Start with the New Member How-To Pages - they are really useful as you add profiles and learn your way around:

Let me know if you require assistance. I am happy to help. After adding my own family and ancestors I have found many cousins and distant ancestors here on WikiTree.
