Biography

Joel Warren was born in Northborough, Massachusetts on Nov 28, 1772. He was son of Eliphalet Warren and Miriam Rice. [1]

About 1796 Joel relocated to Berlin, Vermont and purchased land west of the center of town. After working a year he put up a log house and moved in with his wife. He was a prosperous farmer, raised a "moderately large" family of children and "accumulated a handsome fortune" [2]

Joel Warren and Rebecca Prime Tolls (of New Haven, Connecticut) were married Feb 14 1799 in Berlin, Vermont. [3]

Joel represented the town of Berlin, Vermont in the State Legislature in 1819. [2]

He died April 1849. [2]
