James Wellington Warren was born on December 16, 1862 in Palmerston, Perth, Canada West, son of Peter Warren (1824–1897) and Jane Wynn (1836–1871).^[1]

In 1871, Jas W (8) was in the household of Peter Warren in Wallace, Perth, Ontario. ^[2]

James (21) married Charlotte Catherine McDonald (22) (born on May 5, 1862 in Howick, Huron, Canada West) on June 4, 1884 in Oak River, Blanshard, Manitoba.^[3] Their son was Russell Durwood Livingston Warren (1884–1961).

James was living in Marquette, Manitoba, from 1901 through to 1926, as shown in the censuses. ^{[4][5][6][7][8]}

James died on February 16, 1955 in Crandall, Miniota, Manitoba, Canada, aged 92. He was buried in Crandall Cemetery, Crandall, Western Manitoba Census Division, Manitoba.^[1]
