Biography[1]

Robert Charles Anderson says he was born about 1614 (not 1575) based on a land grant in 1635 and estimated date of marriage. His origins are not known.

Some have claimed that he was the son of William Warren and Margaret Babthorpe.[citation needed]

He was not the same man as Abraham Warr of Ipswich.

He emigrated by the end of 1635 when he was granted land in Salem.

He married first by 1638 Isabelle ______; she died in Salem 5 Apr 1672.[2]

Some say her maiden name was Rodgers.[citation needed]

He married second an unknown woman who is referenced as "relict" in the inventory of his estate.

He died by 21 Sept 1682 (date of the inventory of his estate).

He had only one known child by his first wife:

  1. Mary Warren; m 7 December 1659 at Salem John Greene.

[3]

There is no evidence that he was father of Arthur Warren.

His wife Isabel should likely be PGM, as he was of Salem in 1635; married by 1638. I left a comment on her profile recommending her LNAB should be Unknown. https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Rodgers-1640
