Isabel (22) married Albert Francis Henry Bretz (23) (born on November 8, 1893 in Colony of Queensland) on December 27, 1916 in Queensland. Their daughter was Katherine May Bretz (1920–2001).

Isabel died on March 18, 1979 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia, aged 84. She is commemorated at Mount Thompson Memorial Gardens and Crematorium, Holland Park West, Brisbane City, Queensland.^{[2] [3]}
