I was born in Bangor, ME in 1945, attended Orono High School and Bowdoin College. Later I got an M.A in German at Middlebury College. I grew up in Veazie, ME and in 1968 married Leslie Nold of Natick, MA. We have two daughters and two grandchildren and live in Barre, VT.
