Biography
John Charles Frederick Walton was born in 1909 at Todmorden, West Riding of Yorkshire, England.[1]
Charles Walton migrated from England to New South Wales.
He migrated to New South Wales, Australia, where he found employment as an airline pilot.
He married young aviatrix, Nancy Bird, on 16th December 1939 at Scots Church, York Street, Sydney. Charles called her 'Nancy-Bird' and the name stuck.[2][3]
