Biography
Thomas Walpole, son of John Walpole and his wife, Elizabeth Shawe, was born about 1456, being said to be 38 years and more at the time of his father's death in 1494. [1]
He married Jane Cobbe, daughter of William Cobbe of Sandringham. [2] Their children were John, who died young, Edward born in 1483, Henry, Agnes and Jane. [3]
His second wife was Alice Hanley who was mother of his daughter, Alice, and survived him.
Thomas wrote his will on the 24th of May 1513, (4 Henry VIII) and died on the 24th of January 1514. [3] His Inquisition Post Mortem was held on the 21st of November 1514 (5 Henry VIII). [4]
