Research Notes

  • Source of potential confusion: There is also a Dr. Waller who became an authority on breastfeeding; perhaps from either New Zealand or England. (With the Michigan newspaper article image, one can't tell if it's the same person...)
  • There is a possible Mary Rockwood in the Durango, Colorado, 1900 Census. Parents are Thomas and Luella. Born in June 1895. Image not captured until Profile Manager is more certain this is the correct person as Harold's second wife. IF it is, she was also in the Dietetics Department at U. Michigan and was an attendant at Harold's (first) wedding -- to Dorothy Stewart. Further research required!! Nothing turns up in FindAGrave (yet??); it is also possible Mary re-married after Harold died in 1943.
  • As above, here is a little more detail about this person: Mary Elaine Rockwood
