Biography

From his age at death, David Walker was born about 1838. His age at marriage, 26, has him born a little later.

On 8th August, 1867, David, aged 26, married 24-year-old Isabella Shaw., the ceremony taking place St. Anne's, Belfast, Ireland. Their respective fathers were recorded as William Walker and Robert Shaw. ^{[1] [2]}

By 1869, he and Isabella Shaw were registering the births of their children in Heathcote, Colony of Victoria, Australia.

In 1914, he was widowed.

David Shaw passed away 1917, aged 79 years. His death was registered Yea, Victoria. The informant appears to have misunderstood the question about parentage and given the parentage of David's offspring, perhaps themselves: David Walker and Isabella Shaw. ^[3]

DEATHS

WALKER -- On the 31st August at the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Duncan McLeish, Yea, David Walker, aged 79 years.

"A patient sufferer at rest." ^[4]

David and Isabella are interred in the Yea Cemetery, where their headstone reads:-
