Biography
John William's mother was Susanna Hawkins recorded in the North America, Family Histories, 1500-2000 for John Walker.
John William's first wife is unknown. They perhaps, had several children together. In the mid 1820's John William's first wife passed away and John William then married the widow Mrs. Henson (Martha Jane "Patsy" Davis b. 1794). Their known children were Marion Reason Walker b. 1830, John Walker b. 1838, and Martha Jane Walker b. 1841.
Footnote: Allen Henson born 1757 and William Walker born 1772 traveled together from Rutherford County, North Carolina to Jackson and Union Counties, Illinois. While enroute they were recorded in the 1805 Roane County, Tennessee Tax List. Also, Caleb Lindsey born 1778 traveled from Rutherford County, North Carolina to Jackson County, Illinois with a stop in Warren County, Kentucky. The children of these men intermarried with each other.
