Per the 1875 Russian Empire Military Census, Isaac Waxman was born Ицко Ваксер in 1848[1], but in the 1910 census, Isaac Waxman was born about 1854 in Russia.[2] He married Sarah Remer before 1869 when their first daughter, Zisel, was born. In 1904 Isaac and Sarah migrated with their family to the United States, settling in Pennsylvania.[2][3][4][5]
Isaac and Sarah were still in Philadelphia in 1920.[3] Both were listed as being seventy years old with alien status.[3] Isaac was no longer working, and he and Sarah stayed in their home on Ritner Street.[3] Their daughter Katie (Waxman) Shore, age forty, worked as an operator in a shirt factory.[3]
Isaac died on the 28th of April 1924 in Philadelphia. Cause of death was chronic myocarditis. HIs parents' names were listed as Sam and Dora. He was buried in the Har Jehuda Cemetery. [6] Sarah died on the 17th of January 1933 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.[7] She was laid to rest in the Har Jehuda Cemetery, in Upper Darby.[8]
