Giuseppe marries Anna Piranio, daughter of the late Giuseppe Piranio and Leonarda Provenzano, on 6 April 1807.[1]

Giuseppe and Anna have seven known children: Giovanna (c. 1808), Vincenzo (c. 1810), Biagia (c. 1815), Ignazio (c. 1816), Leonarda (c. 1819), Leoluca (c. 1824), and Vita (c. 1826).

Giovanna marries at least twice, first to Giuseppe Palazzo on 3 June 1827 in Corleone.[2]

In the 1834 stato delle anime, Giuseppe Gutera, 55 (b. 1778), heads a household in the vanella di Santa Caterina with his wife, Anna, 47 (b. 1786), and children Vincenzo, 23 (b. 1810), Biagia, 18 (b. 1815), Ignazio, 17 (b. 1816), Leonarda, 14 (b. 1819), Leoluca, 9 (b. 1824), and Vita, 7 (b. 1826).[3]
