Zachariah Flagler was born at Poughkeepsie, Dutchess County, New York. He was baptized on 6 July 1720.[1] Poughkeepsie baptism record for Zacharias Oct. 12 1720 lists parents as Zacharias Vleegelaar and Elisabeth. Witnesses were Elias Bundschooten and Catryntjen Keyser.
He married Elizabeth Hageman circa 1740 at Jamaica, New York. [1] Named by Jones p. 243.
He married Sarah Barton, daughter of Joseph Barton and Abigail (Lewis) Barton[1] Named by Jones p. 243. Poughkeepsie (‘Pakeepsie’) [DRC] marriage record Nov. 6 1747 for Zari Barter and Zacharias Vlegelaar states groom is the widower of Elizabeth Hageman and both parties are residents of Dutchess Co. There is an additional notation ‘bo. at Ychester’ (?)
He married Mary Allen after 20 Dec 1773 in Dutchess Co.(?).[1]
He died on 27 July 1807 at Clinton, Dutchess County. New York, at age 87.[1]
