Henri Vigier was born on October 21, 1775, in New Orleans, Louisiana. He married Marie Louise Brochu (Breaux) on August 12, 1798, in St Gabriel, Louisiana. They had eight children in 22 years. He died on July 28, 1830, in Opelousas, Louisiana, at the age of 54.
