I think there is a problem with this record. James Vernon is born in Scotland AFTER the Friendship landed in Pennsylvania and maybe 4 years after Sarah married him?

I don't think that James belongs to this particular John Vernon. I really want to know the answer but that does not seem to be correct, however the aforementioned James appears to be a direct ancestor of mine. I would love to connect him to this line but I cannot as of yet find the link.

Hi Rich, I'll contact you directly as I have more information about the Quaker Vernons and their descendants that you will find interesting if you are researching his line. Yes, what you say does not make sense - I think perhaps we have two James Vernons and some confusion between them.

Vernon-1535 and Vernon-346 appear to represent the same person because: Same person, same birth date, same wife. Death dates differ by 10 years but that can be fixed (researched) after the merge.
