Richards-23367 and Planck-159 do not represent the same person because: There is nothing about these two profiles that matches, other than a very common first name.

Thank you for catching this mistake! I think I tagged the wrong person for the merge with Richards-23367. Will retrace my steps and see if I can find it again.
There's a history of confusion and dispute involving this woman and others. For example, see the profile comments onhttps://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Claeszen-13 .

Thanks, S. :-)

Three spouses actually are already documented in the "Biography" section of this profile, but it's hard to see that given the lack of a biographical narrative.

I have a copy of a page from a book (sorry, no title) which has information on the family ("Ver Planck Family - References and Notes") which mention a book "The Wilderness Trail I, 77" by Charles Hanna. He states that in 1671 Susanna and John Garland were given permission to "trade or trafic with the Indians and others at Whorekill or any other parts of Delaware, ....etc.) Noland 588.

So are we working with two different Susanna's (Susannah's)

1. the First Susannah Verplanck married these 3 men: a. Martin Van Waert, 4 Dec. 1660 New Amsterdam, b. John Garland, date of License 20 Apr 1669 and c. Daniel Browne, Date of license 20 June 1679. 2. The 2nd Susannah married 1. Pierre Richards, and 2. Melchior Claeszen, 1674

I don't think it's possible that Susannah Ver Planck married all 5 men. It appears the the Susanna who married Melchoir Claezen Keator were married awhile making it impossible to have been married to Daniel Browne. And the Marriage license does say that Daniel Browne married Susannah Garland, Widow.

And in the New York, U.S. Marriage Index, 1600-1784 it says that she was Susannah Verplanck that married John Garland on 20 April 1669. . .Record #: O.W.L. Volume II, page 417

Plus the Marriage Banns dated 4 December 1660 for the Dutch Reformed Church says Susanna Verplanck married Marten Van Waert. Who was vanished for the Colony in 1661 and Susannah returned to the colonies without her husband in the year 1662. She returned as Susanna VerPlancken and with one child that was 1 1/2 years old on the 27 Sept 1663. . .So may appear that Susanna Divorced her husband while in Holland, since she when back to her maiden name. She baptized a son, just after her return baptism dated 18 Jan 1664. And again she used her maiden name Verplanck: *Jacobus. Parents: Marten Van Waert, Susanna VerPlancken. Bp: 18 Jan 1664.Wits: Gerrt. Janszen Roos, Pieter Stoutenburg, Maria Verplancken. [NYDC 2:72]

I would like to see an actual document (Not a Family tree) that shows that this Susanna Ver Planck used the last name "Richards" Was it common for Women in the Dutch Colony to retain there Maiden Name, rather than there Married name? Is there proof that Susannah Verplanck came into New York as Widow "Richards" or is this a Women and she has been mixed up with Susannah VerPlanck? What I see is a Baptism Record for Susanna Verplanck dated 25 May 1642, Dutch Reformed Church, New Amsterdam, New York and Father: Abraham Isaacsz Verplanck and Witnesses: Jan Janszen, Mr. Hans Kietstede, and Christina Vynen.

So, how could she have arrived in New York as Widow "Richards"? ? ? ? ? ?
