This profile is part of the Veazie Name Study.
Hannah Veazie was born[1] Mar 8, 1644/45, in Braintree, Mass., the daughter of William Veazie and Elinor Thompson. Her birth record reads: "Hannah Veasie Daughter of Wm Veasie & Ellen his wife borne 18:1:44." N.B., at that time, in the Julian calendar, March was the first month of the year. In Braintree, Mass., "John Greenlief & Hanna Veasy were married 7th. mo. 26 1665 by Capt Clapp."[2] As mentioned, March was the first day of the month until ~1752, so they were married (modern date) Sep 26, 1665. Hannah Greenleaf is mentioned[3] in the 1697 will of her brother Samuel. Hannah Greenliefe(sic), wife of John, died[4] 4 Apr 1712.
