Biography

Francesco Paolo Vasi is born 11 April 1882 in Corleone and baptized on 23 April. He is the son of Francesco Paolo Vasi and Salvatrice Berlingeri. His godparents are Giuseppe Virgadamo and Maria Artale, a married couple.^[1]

Pasquale and his younger brother Francesco immigrate together on the Konigin Luise, arriving on 5 December 1904 in New York. Pasquale is 24 (b. 1880), a barber, single, and his brother is 22 (b. 1882), a workman, also single.^[2]

Two of Francesco's brothers, Pasquale and Leoluca, are arrested in connection with a counterfeiting operation in New York in 1910.
