Biography

Louretta was born in 1849. She is the daughter of Paul Varney and Diana Kent.

In 1850, Loretta (age 10 months) and her siblings were living in the home of her widowed father, P A Varney, in Chardon, Ohio.^[1]

In 1865, Loretta (16) was a boarder in the home of Joseph Heacock in Johnstown, New York.^[2]

On January 19, 1870, Louretta Varney and Charles A Avery were married in Lake County, Ohio.^[3]

In 1880 Charles and Louretta were living in Schenectady, New York with their 8-year-old son, Freddie.^[4]

Loretta V Avery died (age 93) on 1 February 1943 in Lawrence Township, Lawrence, Illinois, United States. She was the daughter of Lyman Varney & Diann Kent.^[5]
