Reginald Vanderbilt is Notable.

American millionaire equestrian and the father of fashion designer Gloria Vanderbilt. Reginald Claypoole Vanderbilt was born on 19 Dec 1880[1]. He was the youngest son of Cornelius Vanderbilt II and Alice Claypoole Gwynne, grandson of William Henry Vanderbilt, and great-grandson of Commodore Cornelius Vanderbilt. He attended Yale University, but did not graduate.

He was known as "Reggie", as noted by his grandson, Anderson Coooper.[2]

In 1903, he married Cathleen Neilson. The couple had a daughter, Cathleen Vanderbilt, and were divorced in 1920.

He remarried on March 6, 1923 to Gloria Morgan with whom he had a second daughter, fashion designer Gloria Laura Vanderbilt.

He died of cirrhosis of the liver on September 4, 1925 at Sandy Point Farm in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, having gambled and partied away the huge fortune inherited from his father.
