Research Notes

Mariah, daughter of Sarah had ten children documented in primary source documentation and oral history. Some Ancestry tree's have Mariah as the mother of Sarah and other misinformation. I, L Gibson, was able to interview 10 grandchildren of Elijah and Amanda Reed between 1990-2019 and all of the interviews coalesced regarding the history of Elijah and Amanda Reed. Additionally another grandson Malvin Walker (interviewed multiple times between 1977-1979 by his grand niece) passed on the same oral histories as his first cousins even though he grew up in Arkansas whereas his first cousins grew up in Claiborne Parish, Louisiana.
