Rebecca (Unknown)'s origin is unknown. Her birth date and birth place are unknown, and her parents and maiden name are unknown.[1]
Birth date, 1606, is an estimate, based on her age at death in 1661 which was reported in the Watertown Record as "about 55 years."
The profile previously assumed she was born c. 1606 at Kendal, Westmoreland, England, a daughter of Edward Johnson (without evidence and without source). The profile for Edward Johnson has therefore been detached as her father.
Rebecca Unknown married c. 1635, as his 2nd, to Edward Garfield. Roberts reports her maiden name was unknown (ca. 1606-1661),[2] as does Robert C. Anderson, in the Great Migration series.[1]
Rebecca died on 16 April 1661 at Watertown, Middlesex, Massachusetts, age about 55.[3]
