Biography

Doris was born in 1925. She married John Joseph Heberle. She shares a grave marker with her husband in the Garden of the Last Supper, Tallahassee Memory Gardens, Tallahassee, Florida. However, there is no date of death for her. Doris apparently passed away in 2021.

Doris is mentioned in her husband's obituary from 1998.^[1]

Doris's obituary posted on Legacy.com stated:

'Doris was born and raised on her grandfather's farm in rural Grady County, Georgia. Her family moved to Bainbridge, Georgia where she graduated from Bainbridge High School. During World War II, she met her future husband, John, while he was stationed at an Army Air Corps base in Bainbridge. They married in Bainbridge and moved to Erie, Pennsylvania, where they lived for forty years. While in Erie, Doris and her husband owned and operated A Country Fair for a number of years. They eventually moved to Tallahassee in order for her to take care of her parents.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and loved to travel, read novels and work crossword puzzles. She had many talents and interests including baking, cooking and sewing for her grandchildren, including sewing elaborate Halloween costumes.^[2]
