Biography
Samuel Anthony Ulrich was born on May 9, 1850 in Centerville, Appanoose, Iowa, United States, son of Eliza Knoff (1824–1869).[1]
Samuel (21) married Mary E. Cooksey (17) (born on January 12, 1854 in Appanoose Co., Iowa; daughter of Joseph William Cooksey and Eliza Emily (Horn) Cooksey) on August 25, 1871 in Appanoose. Their children were:
- Oliver Ulrich (1872–1875)
- Viola Adaline Ulrich (1874–1960)
- Francis M. Ulrich (~1877–~1883)
- Joseph Casper Ulrich (1879–1969)
- Jesse Earl Ulrich (1882–1979)
- Carl Ulrich (1885–1969)

Samuel died on June 29, 1934 in Kirksville, Adair, aged 84. He was buried in Hilltown Cemetery, Moulton, Appanoose County, Iowa.[6] [1]
