Biography

Her first husband, William, was also a Tyrell and was a distant cousin. Their son was Thomas Tyrell. Their marriage is shown on Ancestry as a Source Citation : " William Tyrrell...Marriage...6 August 1565...Rawreth, St. Nicholas, Essex...Spouse (written as) Thamison Tyrrell"

Thomasine was aged 34 at death, so born in about 1544 as she died in 1578. Her father was Edmund Tyrell of Beeches, Essex, according to Ipswich Record Office:

" Thomasine, wife of William Playters of Sotterley, died 8 May 1578, and was one of the daughters and co-heirs of Edmund Tyrell of Beeches, Essex".

She is mentioned on her husband's brass plaque, viewable at the flickr site. The plaque states that William and Thomasen, one of the daughters and heirs of Edmund Turell (Tyrell) of Beches in the county of Essex esquire & Susan Cooke, had issue one daughter (Susan.) ^[1]
