HI, I see you are working on merges, you may want to review Merging FAQs to understand your responsibilities in doing merges. Remember, after the merge you will want to clean up the text. During a merge, the text from the merged-away profile is simply appended onto the end of the text of the merged-into profile. You will want to integrate it into a single biography and a single sources section. Thanks so much for helping improve Wikitree! If you have any questions, just let me know.

Please change your privacy level to "Private with Public Family Tree" to allow your Y-DNA results to be associated with your direct paternal line.

Thanks and sincerely, Peter

Thank you Charles for all the time you spend helping us find our ancestors.

You are great at tracing our family tree. I will be looking for relatives that I couldn't find before.

Thank you for adding the information on Elizabeth Mary Johnson and Joseph L Tyler, my great grandparents.

I noticed you uploaded or plan to upload a GEDCOM. Our process here is a little different than what you might find on other sites because of our goal of growing one worldwide tree with a single profile for each individual. Here's two links :

1) Before Importing a gedcom

2) link to the process. Feel free to message me if you have any questions! TIP: if your ancestor was born over two hundred years ago, there's a very good chance she/he already has a profile on wikitree. Before creating a new profile, use the "search function" up on top to see if your ancestor is already here.

Hi Charles,

I see you have things moving along and hope you can find some good information.

I think you have probably realized by now that the hunt is addicting.

Howdy!

Just checking in to see how things are going :)

Our vision is to build a collaborative tree with one profile per person. The farther back you go, it's likely you will find existing profiles to link into so it's important to do a thorough search before adding someone!

Do you have Royal Ancestors? If so, they are already here! Please contact the EuroAristo Project to discuss connecting your family line to their already existing profiles.

WikiTree strives to be a fun, collaborative, productive site. It's also different than what many people are used to. Please take advantage of the Help Menu in the upper right hand corner, and of course, our Mentors :)

Do you have questions I can help with?

I have approved your trusted list requests for Joseph Tyler and Lucy Weathersbee. I can make you the profile manager for both if you would like because they are not my direct ancestors. Lucy Weathersbee is the sister of my 5th great-grandmother, Sarah Weathersbee. You are the 2nd Weathersbee relative that I have had contact with on WikiTree.

Welcome to our community, Charles. WikiTree is a great place to organize your data and upload photos and documents. The more ancestors you add, the more likely cousins will find you and help grow your family branches.

Our Honor Code, G2G message forum, help pages, search features, and many other useful links can be accessed from the menus on the upper right corner of most pages.

VERY IMPORTANT: The more documents, sources, dates, and locations you provide on the profiles you create, the stronger your branches and our mutual global tree will be. If you don't know the correct date, please estimate using before or after.

Thank you for helping in our mission to build a global tree with only ONE profile per person.

Hope you enjoy WikiTree!
