Biography

Sarah Truckle (married name Dredge) was born around 1790, the daughter of Betty Truckle (nee Damlick) and George Truckle.^[1]

She married James Dredge on 22 November 1821.^[2][3] Their children were:

• Theophilus Dredge (1823?–1909)^[4]
• William Gilpin Dredge (1826?–1865)^[5]
• Sarah Truckle Dredge (1828?–1915)^[6]

She came to Australia with James and their children on the Elizabeth in 1838.^[7]

James died in May 1846.^[2]

Sarah died on 9 December 1860 in Victoria, Australia, aged 70 years.^[1][3]
