Hi Dylan,

I see that you've marked a number of your ancestors' parental relationships 'confirmed with DNA'. There's one more step you need to do for each of those--put a statement on the profile of each of those people explaining how you used DNA to confirm those relationships. Here is a page that explains how to do that: http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/DNA_Confirmation

You may be able to use the DNA Confirmation Citation Maker to create appropriate statements: https://apps.wikitree.com/apps/clarke11007/DNAconf.php

Please let me know if I can help. Thanks! Kay Wilson

Dylan –

You've probably been hard at work adding family members and getting connected to those that are already here. You should have at least a few profiles that you manage now. So, this week we're going to look at how to work with your Watchlist: How to Manage Your Watchlist.

As always, your questions are welcome!

Dylan, welcome to WikiTree! It looks like we are ninth cousins through the Kimmel family. I connected Paul Kimmel to his parents, who I added to the tree in the past.

Tomorrow after the nightly database update you'll see at the bottom of your family profiles how you connect to Kevin Bacon, Queen Elizabeth, and other notable ancestors.

I'm glad you joined us!

Hi there! My name is Vicky (Freeth) Majewski and I am a WikiTree Mentor.

I'm just checking in to see how things are going. Are you enjoying WikiTree so far? Any questions? Any issues?

Feel free to contact me via my profile page. I am happy to help!

Hi Dylan!

You are now a confirmed of WikiTree! Thank you for volunteering to add your precious family history. We've put together a guided tour to help you learn how to use it. How to Start Climbing Our Tree.

Have fun and ask for help if you need it! WikiTree members love to help out fellow genealogists, or go in on the Question of the Week: Have you found any unusual occupations in your family tree?

If you need additional help, Contact a Mentor! They're a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to assist you with WikiTree specific problems.

See you in the branches --

Hi Dylan,

Welcome to WikiTree! The email we just sent has helpful links to get you started. WikiTree is different than other genealogy websites because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we share ancestors and work together as a BIG collaborative team! What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? When you confirm your email address, you’ll be given an opportunity to volunteer to help document our collective family history. Use the Tags and comments to tell us about your genealogical interests. When you volunteer, one of our Greeters will confirm your membership. Then you'll be able to add your family to the tree!
