  • That in the year 1880 or the thereabouts I squatted on the Southeast Quarter of Section 35, Township 32, Range 6, West of the 3rd Meridian, the land at this time not having been surveyed, and being in the consequence unable to file a homestead entry. • I was in Residence, and had my improvements upon it. I remained in Residence upon this line from 1880 to 1886, when my buildings were burned and I had to leave as I had nothing left, my horses having been killed at the time of the Rebellion. During my residence Upon This Land I had a house 18 x 20 ft, once table 15 by 20 feet oh, and another staple 15 by 16 feet and had eight head of horses.
  • Besides my buildings that had four acres of lines broken that had fenced 80 acres.
