Biography

David Trissel was born in December 1826 in Rockingham Co.,Virginia. He is the son of John Trissel and Elizabeth Billheimer.

He originally enlisted with Co. K, 94th Ohio Regiment in Aug 1862.^[5] He was transferred to Company C, U.S. Veteran Reserve Corps 15th Infantry Regiment in Nov 1864 and was mustered out in July 1865 at Cairo, IL. ^[6]
