Biography

Frederic was born in 1864 in Pendleton, New York, the son of Amasa Tripp and Delight Richards. He was living with his grandmother in 1875 (per 1875 census). He relocated to California with the military (Tripp book says this was "for his health"). He passed away in 1893 at Angel Island, Marin, California, and is buried at San Francisco National Cemetery, San Francisco, San Francisco County, California (Plot: Section OS, Row 34, Site 1). He is also listed on the gravestone marker with his parents at Bear Ridge Cemetery, Pendleton, Niagara County, New York.

Per memorial gravestone at Bear Ridge Cemetery, Pendleton, New York, Frederic was a 2nd Lt. of the 1st Infantry, Company D. Also listed as such on familysearch.org. [1]
