Funeral services for Paul Elzie Trichel, 82, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday March 30, 2017 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe with Brother Jerry Keene officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA.

Mr. Trichel was born on August 13, 1934 in Fairbanks, LA, and passed away on March 26, 2017 in Ruston, LA. He was a citizen of the Natchitoches Indian Tribe. Mr. Trichel was a Navy Veteran serving in the Korean War. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mr. Trichel was a proud father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents, Allen and Rose Trichel, sons, Dennis Trichel and Garland Telano, sisters Estelle Hodge, and Alice Hill.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Trichel; children, Belinda Trichel, Paula Trichel, Doug Trichel, Penny Ireland and husband Mike, Ronnie Trichel and wife Kim, and Paul Trichel; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Virginia Ann Schoolfield, Margaret Phelps, Dorothy Jean Matheson; brother, Allen Trichell; numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Trichel, Paul Trichel, Michael Watson, Coby Trichel, Ronnie Matheson and George Perot.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday March 29, 2017 at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.
