Martha Towler was born in Attercliffe, Yorkshire about 1787. Martha Towler was baptised at Sheffield, Yorkshire on 14 September 1787, the daughter of Elizabeth Lawson and William Towler^[1]

Married Life

Martha Towler, daughter of Elizabeth Lawson and William Towler, married George Swallow, son of Thomas Swallow and Ann Snidall, at Sheffield, Yorkshire on 11 September 1808.^[2] Their children included

In 1851, Martha Swallow (64) is recorded^[11][14] in Yorkshire with her husband George Swallow (64) in the household of their son-in-law John Deakin (26), their daughter Sarah Deakin (22), granddaughter Sarah O Deakin (0) and an apprentice.

In 1861, Martha Swallow (73) is recorded in South Sheffield with her husband George Swallow (72).
